I have neglected this site of mine for a while now…the last post before this was last fuckin September…Although its because I’m super busy that I haven’t really had the time to write anything here.
I’m gonna try to change that though; along with maintaining and updating this site, i want to jumpstart doing some more visual arts: be it painting, drawing, animation, whathaveyou… Hopefully this little update will “stimulate” creativity…everybody is using that word nowadays…”stimulate”…odd.
I have come across this really cool open source programming language called Processing (http://processing.org/) seems interesting and looks very powerful from what I’ve seen you can do with it…But do I really want to learn another programming language while I’m still trying to grasp Actionscript 3?
I think for right now I’m going to stick with learning AS3, because with all the other projects I have going on right now (hence the sparse update of this site) I really can’t afford to learn another language…But eh, we’ll see.

The last time I bought a digital camera was more than 7 years ago..back then, a 1.2 megapixel camera was the talk of the town; now my cellphone has an even better camera in it. Anyways, I gave in and picked up a new one that should come in handy as I start updating this site with my current projects. Speaking of which, I still need to light my paintings properly before taking pictures of them; the one above this post only has a couple of spot lights pointed at it..I haven’t even stretched the canvas yet.
I’ve been playing around with mixing media lately: i.e. not just oil paint, or just charcoal drawings…Going to Home Depot and just buying different materials and using them on a piece tends to make the painting process more relaxing, albeit with an experimental curiosity..Sometimes things don’t work, but that;s okay since you can try again. Also, when buying paints in Home Depot or Lowe’s, check out the rack of discount paints..the ones they mixed wrong and have been returned…you can get a pint for as low as $1…
The site is pretty much ready to go…I decided to do away with the fancy graphics/gimmicks/nonesense that I’ve been experimenting with…I just want the site to be functional and easy to update… I want this site to just showcase whatever I’m working on; be it a painting, drawing, video, animation, whateverthefuckitis… Of course there will be tweaks here and there..some improvements. But for the most part I just want to get this going once again.
As I type this, there is a blank canvas tacked to my wall, staring me down with its blankness…it needs to be violated.
